Why I Deleted Facebook and Why You Should Too.

I knew the relationship had come to an end one Tuesday morning a couple of weeks ago. But like all long term relationships, it can be hard to finally accept it was over. I tried having some time apart, have some space and see if it made things better

Why I Deleted Facebook & Why You Should Too.

But as soon as the relationship was rekindled I was left doubting it would continue for long. Within minutes of reconnecting I was left thinking to myself - why am I here? This is not who I am anymore. But sometimes it can be hard to completely break FREE

In 2006 when we first connected you were a completely different entity. You were much more positive and fun. You let me reconnect with old school friends, people I’d met throughout my travels; even an ex-girlfriend (lucky escape)

You would allow me to sends gifts to all my friends - slices of pizza, cakes and balloons. Nothing, absolutely nothing cheered me up after a shitty day in the office than to get home from work to find out the ex had sent me a spanner and carrot...

You even let me poke random people. Oh, how I like to poke random strangers

But after a few years, you changed. You stopped me from seeing certain friends and information they shared, forced me to consume propaganda and political agendas not of my liking. And reprimanded me and took away my privileges if I spoke out and voiced my own opinions.

And if that wasn’t enough, you would always seem to find some random post I didn’t particularly want reminding off….and remind me of it!!

Thanks for that Zuckers

So much can change in a decade, and you’re living proof that things don't always get better with age.

Facebook I have three words to say to you - Go F*ck Yourself

Yours faithfully
